Care Skincare introduces their line in this way and in my opinion they’ve summed it up perfectly. “Care Skincare was developed by a team of world class experts who formulated five key highly effective multi-functional products that would address the skin’s most important needs in a straightforward, simple way using high quality ingredients. A clean beauty brand, all formulas were developed using only safe, proven ingredients that are fragrance free. Additionally, no products in the line are ever animal tested.” In a way Care is a simple line. The packaging makes me think “clean”. The lines and font are clear and plain so it’s what’s inside that counts. They are US made, cruelty-free, and make sure that their packaging is recyclable. The founder Ricardo used to be a Clinique exec while his wife was concerned with finding affordable, outstanding skincare without the BS. The line just has 5 items and they kindly sent 3 of those for review.   SOFT SWEEP Micellar Cleanser + Toner is made to help with cleansing without stripping your skin. It doesn’t need rinsing away. It not only cleanses but it tones at the same time. It works to lock in moisture. Even though it’s a fragrance-free line I do notice a fragrance in this. I have a very sensitive nose though and I don’t think others will notice it. I prefer it in the morning to wipe away any leftover cleanser and tone my skin since fragrance bothers me more at night. It contains glycerin and hyaluronic acid plus willow bark extract. All those work together to hydrate and tone skin for a brighter appearance. Glycerin acts like a sponge, attracting moisture to the skin’s surface and creating a protective barrier to lock it in.  Willow Bark Extract is a gentle, natural exfoliating agent that aids in cell turnover, clearing pores and relieving dullness. TIRELESS Retinoid Night Serum is a gentle night serum. It gets to work while you sleep so that you wake up with improved skin. It contains Granactive Retinoid™—the gold standard in anti-aging ingredients. This retinoid promotes cell renewal and increases elasticity. It also helps with dark spots. Ingredients include Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Alpha-Arbutin, Caffeine, Squalane, Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate. Granactive Retinoid combats the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while increasing elasticity for a firmer, smoother, more luminous skin texture. This nighttime serum smooths and brightens brilliantly, without the irritating effects of traditional retinol products.  —promotes cell renewal and increases elasticity for firmer, smoother skin. Dark spots and imperfections are diminished, resulting in a more radiant complexion. This serum is in it for the long haul, providing remarkable benefits that multiply over time.  My favorite product is DEEP MOISTURE FIX Hydrating Water Cream. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to BIZ readers as this is a triple duty product. It’s not only a moisturizer but it is a primer and can be used as a mask too. Let me start with the ingredients. It contains both Hyaluronic Acid and aloe so it works to add hydration and illuminate your skin. It contains Vitamins C and E which help protect and nourish your skin. And it contains caffeine to firm and brighten. It has a great cooling gel texture and is lightweight. And yes it has a light scent. Hyaluronic Acid and aloe team up in this addictively textured gel-cream to instantly vanish dryness and dullness, illuminating skin from within. Vitamins C and E protect and nourish, while caffeine helps firm and brighten. Use in the morning as a lightweight daily moisturizer or apply throughout the day for an on-the-go glow. It also works wonders as a quick, rehydrating mask. Everything offered from the brand is fragrance free, alcohol free, mineral oil free, paraben free, phthalates free, and cruelty free. The products contain natural fragrance, not synthetic fragrance. The one with the most fragrance IMO is Soft Sweep Micellar so I haven’t used that as much as the others. Care Skincare is a line to look to for “clean beauty”.
